Board one of the regular Fullers Ferries (there is a regular ferry and a car/motorhome ferry) to Russell, a charming seaside town with a rich history. Laze at the beach, savour the flavours on offer at one of Russell's cafes, browse the art and craft galleries, visit the Russell museum or one of the many historic buildings or just laze on one of the beaches and swim in the calm blue waters.

Waitangi

Waitangi is the historic site of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, our founding document and that which signified the birth of our nation. Waitangi is one of the best places to experience the richness and beauty of the Maori culture. Watch a traditional cultural performance and visit the sacred marae and treaty grounds at Waitangi. Guided tours are available to really enhance your experience at one of New Zealand's most significant historical and spiritual sites.

Paihia

The heart of the Bay of Islands, Paihia is a charming town that offers brilliant shopping and dining. All the major Bay of Islands tours depart from Paihia. You can also go quad-biking, horse-trekking, paddle a Maori waka, Sky Dive and more in Paihia.

Kerikeri

This pretty town was New Zealand's first true colonial settlement, and as such, offers much in the way of historic sites to explore. The Stone Store and Kerikeri Mission House are two of New Zealand's oldest buildings. Rewa's Village is a reproduction of an ancient Maori fishing village. Today, Kerikeri is well known for its art, thriving orchards and wineries. Make sure you sample some of the local produce.
